PWPC Open Novice One Day Event

Members of the Ballinger Equine team were out in force at today’s Puckeridge Hunt Western Pony Club Open Novice One Day Event at Bramfield in Hertfordshire. Pictured above are (from left to right) veterinary surgeons Dr Eleanor Kigozi and Dr Sophie Sutton, Lyndhurst Romeo (aka Hugo), practice veterinary technician Kate Harley and practice administrator Sharni Heaps with Snoopy. Andrew Hillier, practice managing director, accompanied by Basil also attended the event. Ballinger Equine is the headline sponsor of the annual event and provides veterinary cover throughout the day. Gorgeous summer weather and a capacity attendance ensured the competition was an unqualified success for everybody.

Ballinger Equine’s headline sponsorship for well-organised annual event

Ballinger Equine is proud to continue its headline sponsorship of the well-established regional grass roots event which is held annually every September and is hosted and organised by Mr and Mrs C Underhill at their outstanding cross country training and competition facility at Bramfield in Hertfordshire.

The four classes, Open, Intermediate, Novice and Combined Training were all fully subscribed with enthusiastic competitors. The cross country course affords super spectator viewing and grooms and supporters line the rails watching the competition as it unfolds throughout the day. On-course professional event photographers cover the proceedings and tasty, fresh hot and cold catering is available to satisfy hungry competitors and supporters alike.

Sharni Heaps achieves podium finish with her own Lyndhurst Romeo

Ballinger Equine practice administrator, Sharni Heaps, competed today with her own Lyndhurst Romeo (aka Hugo). She was assisted and supported by experienced international grand prix competition groom and practice veterinary technician Kate Harley and won a creditable podium 3rd place in her class. This is Sharni, Hugo and Kate’s second third place finish at Bramfield this year, their first having been achieved at the Novice One Day Eventer Trial in May.

Sponsorship and support set to continue next year

Ballinger Equine is committed to continuing its headline sponsorship and veterinary support for this popular annual competition. Andrew Hillier commented today: “The Puckeridge Hunt Western Pony Club event at Bramfield is always superbly organised and well-attended. The cross country course is great for competitors and their supporters. I’m pleased to confirm our sponsorship and veterinary support will continue in 2022”.
