Kate is our Senior Practice Administrator and primary point of contact with clients. Kate works alongside Sharni Heaps, Practice Administrator, scheduling clinical visits, processing accounts, prescriptions and handling client enquiries. She has additional responsibilities as the practice Veterinary Technician and ensures the diagnostic and surgical equipment is always sterile, charged and prepared for use in-the-field and that the pharmacy is well stocked and properly maintained. Kate assists the veterinary surgeons with diagnostic imaging such as radiography and gastroscopy.
Previously Yard Manager at an international dressage yard, Kate has extensive experience preparing Grand Prix dressage horses for competition at home and abroad. Prior to that, Kate worked at the Royal Veterinary College as an Equine Technician for some years and before that as head girl at a dressage and show jumping yard. Kate’s considerable experience with horses and ponies and her working knowledge of the technical matters associated with a large equine veterinary practice are invaluable to Ballinger Equine.
Away from work, Kate enjoys looking after and riding her horses, walking the family dogs, swimming, reading and spending quality time with her family.
