The Ballinger Equine Clinical Team in April 2022

Ballinger Equine is looking to recruit an enthusiastic equine ambulatory assistant. Our reputation for clinical excellence and outstanding client service is well established and with a steadily increasing client base and extended area of operation, we seek another veterinary surgeon to join the friendly, busy clinical team led by Clinical Director, Dr Susanna Ballinger MRCVS.

All members of the Ballinger Equine clinical team work a four-day week and a 1:4 rota. VDS and BEVA membership are paid and there is generous financial support for CPD. Class leading private healthcare insurance is offered with a competitive annual salary commensurate with experience and qualifications. Cakes, fruit and doughnuts on Fridays are optional! As is a discretionary discount scheme which is available to our horse-owning staff.

The Ballinger Equine clinical team is equipped with the very best in advanced diagnostic imaging equipment, a new fleet of specially adapted 4x4s and high-spec veterinary equipment, including shockwave, class IV laser, and motorised dental kit.

Based in modern offices in rural Hertfordshire the practice offers the best of both worlds with St Albans, Cambridge and London’s thriving arts and cultural scene just a short distance away. Ballinger Equine is a very friendly, happy, inclusive practice and everybody has access to as much support as they need. Mentoring from the two directors is available to everybody in the team.

Independent, and providing its own full 24/7, 365 emergency out-of-hours service, Ballinger Equine has direct access to all the region’s referral centres. Full case investigation and follow-up is encouraged and supported.
