Great New Career with an All-Star Team

Ballinger Equine is recruiting a new Practice Administrator. A strong work ethic and commitment to upholding our values and standards are essential - enjoyment of our Friday cakes, doughnuts and fruit is entirely optional.

Ballinger Equine is one of the region’s busiest and best equine veterinary practices. A multi-award-winning high-tech professional services firm, we are proud of our reputation for clinical excellence and the very highest level of 24/7, 365 customer service. Our continued growth and expanding service area means we are now seeking a talented new administrator to join our happy, energetic, all-star office team.

Excellence is standard. Cake is optional!

This new permanent, full-time position, within the practice administrative and technical team is based in the firm’s offices and reports directly to Managing Director, Andrew Hillier. The primary responsibility of the new role will be to provide first-class support to the practice Clinical Director, Dr Susanna Ballinger MRCVS. A strong work ethic and commitment to upholding our values and standards are essential – enjoyment of our Friday cakes, doughnuts and fruit is entirely optional.

Admin support for a varied, dynamic caseload

The work is fast-paced and varied, featuring frequent contact with clients, the Ballinger Equine clinical team and professional colleagues. The role demands a solution-focused approach to emerging challenges and opportunities, scanning the horizon and anticipating potential issues before they arise. Rigorous adherence to GDPR, client confidentiality and data security is also essential. A savvy, intuitive, positive, organised individual will thrive in this role as a key player in a happy, mutually supportive, enthusiastic admin team.

First class IT infrastructure

Just as our veterinary surgeons are equipped with new 4×4 trucks, the very latest diagnostic imaging equipment and high quality dental and surgical kit, so our office is equipped with a first class IT and communications infrastructure, up-to-date software and an advanced cloud-based practice management system.

Working in a highly professional, supportive and friendly culture

Ballinger Equine offers a friendly, supportive and inclusive culture. Applicants will be impeccably presented, possess outstanding communication skills and display a professional attitude to client service and veterinary medicine. Attention to detail and accuracy are critical. We are successful in developing our own talent, preferring to promote from within. CPD may be available to the right applicant with promotion always a possibility for those with aptitude and the right skill set.

A leading rural professional services firm, Ballinger Equine is proactive in its support for grassroots equestrianism. Applicants for this new position will have a current working knowledge of horses and ponies and an active interest in rural life and equestrian sport.
