New Equine Veterinary Practice for Hertfordshire

EQUINE VETERINARY PRACTICE FOR HERTFORDSHIRE

Today, 12 September 2017, sees the much-anticipated launch of a major new equine veterinary practice for the Hertfordshire area. The new ambulatory practice, Ballinger Equine, is headed by its two directors, Dr Susanna Ballinger MRCVS and Andrew Hillier. And with its new office based at Halls Green, near Hitchin, the business will service clients throughout much of Hertfordshire and the surrounding areas.

A new standard of excellence in ambulatory equine veterinary care

The practice veterinary director is Dr Susanna Ballinger MRCVS. Highly regarded as an ambulatory equine veterinary surgeon throughout the region, after eight years at C P Harris and Associates, in 2012 Susanna was appointed by Rossdales LLP to set up and manage Rossdales Hertfordshire. Following five successful years there as Partner in Charge, Susanna has now moved on to establish Ballinger Equine with business partner and fellow director, Andrew Hillier.

Susanna is an accredited FEI Permitted Treating Veterinarian and an accredited ARVS Racecourse Veterinary Surgeon.

Andrew Hillier is responsible for managing the business and its development. Formerly Director of Communications for the UK’s South-East England Development Agency (SEEDA), Andrew has served as communications adviser to the Chief Executive of the UK Forensic Science Service and is a former Director of Communications for Aberdeenshire, for the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea and before that, Head of PR and Press Office at the City of Westminster where he established UK local government’s leading communications and public affairs team.

Andrew has delivered best practice communications and engagement strategies for Foot and Mouth disease, outbreaks of H1N1 (swine flu), H5N1 (avian influenza), EHV (Equine Herpes Virus) and Bluetongue.

Susanna Ballinger said at today’s launch: “I’ve always been committed to clients and to the care of their horses and ponies. Establishing Ballinger Equine with Andrew gives us the opportunity to place client service at the heart of what we do. Equipped with the very latest in diagnostic and imaging technology we will be providing outstanding clinical care to horses and ponies on yards throughout Hertfordshire and the wider area.”

Susanna added: “All our patients, whether a much-loved family pet or an Olympic athlete are equally important to us and we are proud to provide the same high quality veterinary care to everyone.”

Ballinger Equine is now accepting registrations from new clients. Veterinary visits commence on Monday 18 September 2017. Registrations may be made online at ballingerequine.com, where registration forms may also be downloaded, and by phone to the practice office on 01462 414008.
