Ballinger Equine Summer Event

Ballinger Equine is excited to announce its 2024 summer event is taking place on Friday, 12 July. So, be sure to save the date for a super summer evening spent in the company of old friends and new. This is a not-to-be missed event for all horse and pony owners and riders. Keep a look out for the online invitations being issued this week. A packed programme and lots of fun

The Ballinger Equine team is looking forward to welcoming clients and non-clients and their horsey friends to an evening featuring presentations on equine health and peak performance, a veterinary question time panel, refreshments and cakes, and of course the opportunity to catch up up with old friends and make new acquaintances. The practice office and clinical teams will all be present as will the Ballinger Equine sponsored sporting ambassadors.

Special guest presenter

Special guest Leah Clarke Sports Therapist IIST ITEC MSTA and Equine Sports Massage Therapist ITEC MESMA (pictured above), of Elite Horse and Rider Performance is joining us to give a presentation guaranteed to be of interest to all horse and pony owners and riders. With a focus on horse and rider biomechanics and performance, Leah will also join the question time panel to answer questions from the audience and offer advice.

Our own Clinical Director, Dr Susanna Ballinger MRCVS will be exploring the preparations every winning rider can make to achieve peak performance when it matters. And Dr Laura Brown MRCVS will be talking about why vaccinations are more than just a passport to competitions. Laura will bring us all up to speed on the latest vaccine developments for Streptococcus equi equi (Strangles) and Equine Herpes Virus.

Supporting Brook Cottage Farm RDA Centre

This special summer event is free of charge to all who wish to attend and is run on a not-for-profit basis. During the evening we will all be supporting Brook Cottage Farm RDA and all the proceeds raised on the night will be handed directly to the centre to support the outstanding work there. Guests from Brook Cottage Farm will be happy to answer questions and showcase their centre and their work.

Grand raffle and something for everyone

During the evening there will be plenty of opportunities to enter the Ballinger Equine grand summer raffle. There will lots of impressive prizes, including a Ballinger Equine first aid kit, and surprises offered by Leah Clarke, Marwyn Equestrian Rug Washing, Farm and Stable and other supporters of the event and Brook Cottage Farm RDA. There is certainly something for everyone and nobody will leave empty handed.

Be sure to arrive promptly at 6.45pm at Cottered Village Hall, Cottered SG9 9QR. The hall is on the A507 in the middle of the village. Parking in the village hall carpark is free.
