Additional Vet Sought for Clinical Team

Ballinger Equine is recruiting a new or recently qualified veterinary surgeon

Ballinger Equine’s reputation for clinical excellence and outstanding client service is well established. With a steadily increasing client base and extended area of operation, our multi-award-winning practice seeks a fifth veterinary surgeon to join the friendly, busy clinical team.

Terrific career opportunity with a dynamic, friendly and supportive team

Ballinger Equine continues to enjoy steady growth and a terrific opportunity has arisen for a new or recently qualified, enthusiastic equine ambulatory assistant to join the supportive clinical team headed by clinical director, Dr Susanna Ballinger MRCVS.

All members of the Ballinger Equine clinical team work a four-day week and a 1:4 rota. VDS and BEVA membership are paid and there is management support and generous financial contribution to CPD. Private healthcare insurance is also offered with a competitive annual salary commensurate with experience and qualifications. Cake and participation in doughnut-Fridays are optional! As is a discretionary discount scheme which is available to our horse-owning staff.

The Ballinger Equine clinical team is equipped with the very best in advanced diagnostic imaging, a new fleet of specially adapted 4x4s and high-spec veterinary equipment, including shockwave and motorised dental kit.

Recruiting for growth

Andrew Hillier, Ballinger Equine’s managing director, said today:

“We’re a very busy practice and recruiting an additional veterinary surgeon will give us increased operational flexibility whilst ensuring we continue to provide the clinical excellence and high level of client service we are known for.”

“The new appointment represents an ideal opportunity for an enthusiastic new or recently qualified vet to develop their career with guidance and support from clinical director, Susanna Ballinger. We actively encourage and provide generous financial support for CPD.”

Based in modern offices in rural Hertfordshire the practice offers the best of both worlds with St Albans, Cambridge and London’s thriving arts and cultural scene just a short distance away.

Independent, and providing a full 24/7, 365 emergency out-of-hours service, Ballinger Equine has direct access to all the region’s treatment centres. Full case investigation and follow-up is encouraged and supported.
