GDPR And Staying in Touch With Us

GDPR

Ballinger Equine would like to keep in touch with all our clients on important equine healthcare issues. The new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) requires we obtain your permission to contact you in certain instances. Find out here how to be sure you continue to receive warnings of equine disease outbreaks, vaccination reminders and other important updates.

Your GDPR personal communication preferences

In order to provide comprehensive equine veterinary care and professional advice concerning general equine wellbeing, peak performance management, preventative healthcare, dietary management and dentistry, Ballinger Equine needs to record and process clients’ basic personal data such as name, address and contact information. This is in accordance with the Practice Terms of Business.

We would also like to keep in touch with clients with important early warnings of equine disease outbreaks; urgent equine health alerts and protective measures; vaccination renewal deadline reminders; special offers and discounts on treatments, products and services; and news and updates about the range of professional services we offer. For us to do this, GDPR requires we obtain your consent.

During their next visit to you, our veterinary surgeons will provide you with a straightforward options form to complete and sign. Under GDPR, every client needs to complete and sign an options form. Our vets will be happy to explain the form and the options available to you.

In the meanwhile, to find out more about how and why we use your data and the measures we take to protect it, please read the Practice GDPR Compliance statement. More about our data Protection Policy and GDPR compliance is available on the Terms of Business page.

You are free to review your options and change your mind at any time – simply contact the office by ‘phone or email.
