Andrew Delivers VMG Comms Strategy

Ballinger Equine Managing Director Andrew Hillier, in his capacity as Veterinary Management Group (VMG) Board Director, has delivered the VMG’s new Communication and Engagement Strategy, its new marketing plan for the 2024 VMG Congress and a comprehensive new organisational structure to facilitate the strategy’s successful implementation.

VMG Board gives unanimous approval for Inspire, Learn, Lead

Taking the VMG to the next step in its development, Andrew has advanced the existing strapline of Learn, Share, Grow to the more aspirational and representative Inspire, Learn, Lead. The VMG Board unanimously approved the proposed strategy and new strapline, with a recommendation that it be progressed without delay.

A new organisational structure to deliver step-change improvement

With a new strategy comes a modern new organisational structure for the VMG management team, establishing portfolio responsibilities and oversight so that VMG directors may efficiently develop and improve their offering to members and more effectively represent the interests of veterinary practice management in the UK.

Revitalising and modernising the VMG brand

An essential element of the new programme is the design of a new corporate identity and brand for the VMG which, again with unanimous Board approval, is to be expedited under his leadership.

Andrew commented on the programme: “Designing and delivering a modern integrated communications, engagement and marketing strategy for the VMG will equip the organisation to operate effectively in a dynamic and increasingly corporatised sector. Veterinary practice client expectations are higher than ever and the rising cost of living for pet-owners creates a perfect storm when combined with the the high costs associated with operating a commercially viable veterinary practice. Clear and unambiguous messaging at such a time is critical, both for clients and veterinary management.”

Andrew continued: “I look forward to seeing the VMG taking ownership of the programme and driving it forward to a successful implementation.”

As well as being Managing Director of Ballinger Equine, and VMG Board Director, Andrew is a Board Member of the European Association of Communication Directors and has recently presented on Communications and Engagement at the Council of Europe in Strasbourg and is to speak at the ICCO Global Summit in Warsaw.
