Ballinger Equine is proud to support National Air Ambulance Week this week and in particular East Anglia Air Ambulance, Essex and Herts Air Ambulance and MAGPAS Air Ambulance. In the past year, East Anglia Air ambulance has attended 40 equestrian incidents. A member of the Safer Horse Rescue initiative in association with Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue and BEVA, we are always happy to support colleagues in the paramedic and fire and rescue services.

BHS sponsored ride for East Anglian Air Ambulance

On Sunday, 7 October the British Horse Society (BHS) is holding its sponsored ride at Southill Park in aid of East Anglian Air Ambulance. This is a terrific opportunity to ride with friends through a beautiful private estate whilst raising money for two very worthwhile charities. Routes are of 5, 10 or 15 miles on private tracks, headlands and parkland with minimal roadwork.

Ballinger Equine veterinary surgeons will be on-site during the day to provide equine veterinary services should they be required. As event sponsors we have also designed and supplied the smart rosettes which will be awarded to everybody who participates.

The BHS informs us that start times will not be allocated and rides will commence between 9am and 11.30am with groups of no more than five riders. Those setting off after 10.30am will be eligible for the 5 or 10 mile routes only.
