The Grand Raffle held at Ballinger Equine Live has raised over £1,000 for Brook Cottage Farm RDA centre. Grand Raffle at Ballinger Equine Live raises over £1,000 for local charity
A capacity audience of some 200 guests at Ballinger Equine Live, the practice’s annual summer event, have raised £1,150 in a Grand Raffle in support of Brook Cottage Farm RDA centre with all the funds raised donated directly to the charity. The raffle, held during the evening, featured a range of impressive prizes generously donated by friends of the practice including:
- Ballinger Equine first-aid kit
- Ballinger Equine Essential Health Check
- Silver Leys Polo Club – family membership
- Silver Leys Polo Club – polo lessons for two
- Leah Clarke – assessment session
- Equitex – half pad
- Horse rug wash and re-proof by Marwyn Equestrian Rug Washing
- Suzanne James Photography – 4 pro photoshoots
- Le Mieux full-size leather head collar and lead rope from BOVA Veterinary Pharmaceuticals
- Lea Valley Riding Centre – session on the advanced equine simulator
A light supper was provided for all on arrival at the event. Following presentations by Dr Laura Brown MRCVS and Leah Clarke IIST ITEC MSTA, Hester Tingey engagingly showcased the terrific work of the RDA centre at Brook Cottage Farm and the continuing impressive developments underway there. The hugely popular ‘Break-for-Cake’ followed during which a selection of cakes and bakes were enjoyed by all and raffle tickets were eagerly purchased.
