New Veterinary Surgeon Joins The Team

A keen equestrian from Hertfordshire

The clinical team at Ballinger Equine is today joined by a new veterinary surgeon. Dr Eleanor Kigozi BSc, BVM&S MRCVS qualified as a veterinary surgeon at The Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies, Edinburgh University. Eleanor also has a BSc in Genetics from Nottingham University.

A keen equestrian from Hertfordshire…

Growing up in Hertfordshire and with her family still living in the county, Eleanor is already well acquainted with many of the horses, ponies and their owners and riders in the Ballinger Equine Service Area.

Eleanor’s particular professional interests are stud medicine and equine dentistry.

A keen equestrian, Eleanor has owned her current horse Norris for 10 years and together they have competed up to Newcomers with British Showjumping, Medium with British Dressage and BE100 with British Eventing. Eleanor has been a horseball team vice-captain and is a former committee member of North Mymms Riding Club.

Veterinary Director, Susanna Ballinger said today: “Andrew and I are thrilled that Eleanor is joining the team at Ballinger Equine. We interviewed extensively for the position and Eleanor not only had a good understanding of the nature of ambulatory practice, but appreciated our very particular values of clinical excellence, integrity and client service.”

Susanna added: “Eleanor knows the region’s geography well which will help her find her way around on client visits. Her being a keen equestrian with links to the area is a bonus for her as much as us. I know our super clients will make Eleanor feel welcome as the newest veterinary surgeon to join our growing practice.”
