Maaike gained a degree in natural sciences before graduating and qualifying as a veterinary surgeon with Cambridge University Veterinary School. Following a successful ambulatory and clinic based internship with a respected Northamptonshire equine practice, Maaike has moved south to join Ballinger Equine. having grown up riding horses and ponies in the New Forest, during her studies Maaike continued her equestrian activities with Cambridge University’s riding team and the University’s drag hounds.
Whilst not looking after our clients’ horses and ponies, Maaike enjoys baking and painting. Maaike hopes to soon be joined by a new puppy who will no doubt join her on client visits.
