Practice Manager and IT Projects Coordinator

Katie is the Practice Manager and the primary point of contact for all our clients, suppliers and professional colleagues. Working closely with Andrew she oversees the efficient day-to-day running of the business, scheduling veterinary surgeons’ visits, prioritising emergencies, managing credit control and organising just-in-time pharmaceutical and surgical supplies. Accurate, up-to-date management information is critical to our effective operational and business planning and Katie monitors, analyses and reports on an increasingly complex range of metrics. Ensuring client and patient records and accounts are managed to the highest professional standards and in full accordance with GDPR and data security standards, Katie is also the Practice IT project coordinator, scoping, specifying and introducing new software systems.

Gaining a degree in natural sciences at Cambridge University, Katie was also President of the University Riding Club and Captain of the Cambridge University Equestrian Blues (1st) team in 2017-18, notably competing for them in the Varsity match at the Royal Windsor Horse Show.

Away from work, Katie enjoyed eventing and showjumping before deciding to focus on dressage. She has owned her current horse, Bunny, since he was four years old and now competes on him at British Dressage Advanced Medium level and training at Prix St Georges.

Katie is also a keen Pony Club member attending camps and helping out at events.
