Harriet Gardner gained a BSc (Hons) in medical pharmacology at Cardiff University before qualifying as a veterinary surgeon at the Royal Veterinary College. Upon graduating from the Royal Veterinary College, Harriet was awarded the Coleman Medal for the Best Equine Project which researched lameness and the measuring of differences in asymmetry at varying trotting speeds.
Harriet’s particular interests in the field of equine veterinary medicine include internal medicine, wound healing and diagnostic imaging.
Harriet grew up with horses, enjoying Pony Club activities, grooming for international eventers and showjumpers Tim and Anna Wilks and learning to play polo in Zimbabwe. After travelling extensively from Cornwall to Zimbabwe via Austria, Harriet is now settled in Hertfordshire where she originally enjoyed exploring the countryside on her horse B, a blue roan standardbred.
Away from equestrian sports, Harriet has represented Berkshire at netball and hockey, is an accomplished skier and excels at slalom.
