After graduating with a BSc in veterinary science, Anna Liedtke stayed at the Royal Veterinary College, qualifying as a veterinary surgeon in 2010. In 2020 Anna gained her PhD in Sensory Biomechanics, again at the RVC. Whilst studying for her PhD, Anna continued to practice equine veterinary medicine with a number of equine practices in the South East of England. She knows the area well and, importantly, has forged excellent working relationships with all the region’s referral centres and hospitals.
An experienced veterinary surgeon, Anna works closely with other members of Dr Ballinger’s clinical team looking after the practice’s growing number of clients and their horses and ponies. Anna’s particular interests are pain management, rehabilitation and nutrition.
Away from work Anna has previously competed at both show jumping and dressage up to national level and enjoys riding whenever she gets the opportunity. She also enjoys walking Charlie, her Labrador/German Pointer cross and Inca her Springer Spaniel, both lovely and very energetic rescue dogs.
